Hi, I'm Popsicle! My friends call me Poppy. I'm an affectionate boy with beautiful markings! My sister and I were feral when we were brought into the house under duress. At first, I was unsure and skeptical about it but with lots of love and patience from my foster mom, l've learned to trust. Now, I love pets and cuddles, when it's my idea of course! I love snuggling with the little dog that lives here (when she lets me) and the other cats in the house. Loud noises can make me a bit nervous, just so you know. If you come see me at an adoption event you might find me in the corner of the crate. I’m friendly, I just don’t like those cages and the loudness. I hope you’ll see past that and give me a chance. I'm a wonderful boy and would make a perfect companion for the right person! My adoption fee is $150. I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. South Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

The South Plains SPCA believes that adopting an animal is a forever decision that should not be taken lightly. We expect our adopters to be committed to loving our animals for the rest of their lives. Adoption events are held every Saturday at 8901 Highway 87, Building 119, Lubbock, TX. Dog adoptions take place from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., and cat adoptions are 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. While not all of our animals come every weekend, our volunteers will be more than happy to talk to you about the animals you are interested in. You can also send an e-mail to adoptions.spspca@gmail.com regarding any of our animals that you are interested in making a forever member of your family. Meetings can be arranged outside of our Saturday adoption event, usually on Monday evenings for dogs and Wednesday evenings for cats. We have an adoption application that must be filled our. The adoption fee varies and is dependent on whether the pet is a dog or cat and age of the pet. The adoption fee covers the dog/cat being spayed or neutered, current vaccinations, heartworm/tick screening, and microchipped. Indoor homes are preferred.
