Poppy Possum

Poppy has heart full of good intentions and approximately zero understanding of social etiquette. She's sweet, affectionate, and playful but just hasn't quite figured out the proper way to express all those feelings. One moment she'll be happily soaking up attention, the next she'll be overcome by a burst of awkward enthusiasm and gently chomp on a hand because, frankly, she ran out of ideas. Her occasional nibbles aren't meant to hurt anyone; they're simply the result of a cat whose excitement sometimes exceeds her social skills. Poppy is looking for a home that appreciates quirky personalities and understands that sometimes the sweetest cats are also the weirdest. With a little patience and guidance, this loving girl will reward you with affection, entertainment, and plenty of fun.

All cats and kittens come spayed and neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fees are $50.00 for adult cats and $75.00 for kittens under 6 months old at the time of adoption. Our adoptions are done by approved applications, so you must apply and be approved before being able to meet any of our cats or kittens.

To be approved, you can apply in person or online at:
https://www.storycountyiowa.gov/1486/Adoption-Application
Applications can take a few business days to be approved and you will be emailed with communications regarding your application.
