Poppy's Story

The poppy is a beloved flower. It is featured in the poem, "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae, and John Keats wrote, "Through the dancing poppies stole a breeze most softly lulling to my soul." I am a quiet, but sweet tabby girl called Poppy who was found in Oronoco Estates Mobile Home Park. I hope to be lulling to your soul when I purr. I love being petted, and if my purr doesn't convince you, I will talk! I like to play too. I'd love to run and play, free as a breeze and soak up your love when I'm your pretty Poppy girl. Pop in and say hello, and let's see where that takes us.

Adoption fee $100 + microchip fee $30 + tax

IMPORTANT UPDATE Although our shelter is open to potential adopters during the viewing hours listed on this page, Paws and Claws prefers to schedule viewings and adoptions by appointment. To make an appointment to meet and adopt one of the companion animals on our Website, we ask that you fill out an online application. Potential adopters can either click on the ADOPTION APPLICATION link on the right side of this page, or visit our Website at pawsandclaws.org and go to the "Willing to Adopt a Pet" section, then select the orange "Adoption Form" box. This will allow you to access the Adoption Guidelines and Application Form. After reading the Adoption Guidelines, either complete the online adoption form and return it to us, or print the Adoption Form, fill in the required information, sign it, and email it back to us via info@pawsandclaws.org. You may list up to four animals that you would like to meet. We review the emails every day. We will process all applications in the order that they are received and then once your application has been approved, we will contact you and set up an appointment for you to meet the animal(s) and if possible, do the adoption on the same day you come in.
