Poppy's Story

Hi, I’m Poppy (I actually prefer Papi).

I’ve been with my friends at FC3 since May, and they say I’m ready for my forever home - I just need the right one.

Before I was rescued (well, I walked in a trap,) life was really hard. I was on the streets, hungry and scared. People weren’t always kind to me, and I learned to protect myself the only way I knew how... by being tough. But underneath that, I’ve always been a soft boy who just wanted to be loved.

With time, patience, and lots of care, I’ve learned that love can be safe. I purr now - A LOT! I also make yummy biscuits on your lap. I love gentle pets, comfy beds, and soft voices. My fur has grown so silky, and I’m finally healthy and strong. I've even put on some weight, and they call me 'round' now.

I’m still learning to trust completely, so I need a home that understands that healing takes time. Sudden movements can still make me nervous, and I’ll do best with calm, patient humans who let me set the pace.

I eat wet food, specifically turkey, and there are some supplements added to my food to help with my immune system, and my anxiety. My forever home needs to continue this for me.

I’m not the kind of cat who’ll be perfect on day one. But if you give me your patience, I’ll give you my heart.

If you think you might be my forever person, please reach out. I’ve come such a long way. Now I just need someone to believe in me. Email my temporary humans at info@fc3tnr.org to learn more about me. Or share me with your friends who might be looking for me.
Love,
Poppy
