Poppy's Story

Poppy is the kind of cat who makes you feel like you’ve been chosen. She’s warm, affectionate, and will often pick your lap as her landing spot for nap time. Originally found outdoors with a litter of kittens, she settled into indoor life with shocking ease—litter box on day one, no drama, no nonsense. Honestly, it’s like she read the manual!

She’s incredibly people-friendly and has a talent for charming new visitors into petting her. She is happy to be your personal shadow and has plenty of love to spread around.

Poppy has that perfect balance of laid-back and affectionate. She doesn’t demand constant attention, but she does love being near you. Just existing in your space, soaking up your presence (and maybe some cheek rubs while she’s at it). .

She’s curious about other cats and could enjoy a mellow feline friend, but she’d also be perfectly content as the solo princess of your castle. Playtime is just starting to pique her interest.

If interested in a pair, Poppy has an adorable 7-month-old ticked-tabby daughter named Boo, pictured above, who is quite shy with people (not aggressive, just avoidant), but does really well with her mama. She does allow pets once she settles in and sleeps nearby the people she trusts. We would waive the second adoption fee for any family looking to bring them home as a pair!

Poppy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her adoption fee is $150. Apply to bring her home at: www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CCRS/Cat
