Poppy's Story
Meet Poppy! 🌼 Poppy and her three siblings arrived at the shelter as timid little kittens, unsure of the world around them. Thanks to the patience and love from their foster family, they have made incredible strides in overcoming their fears. While Poppy is still on her journey to fully trust humans, each day brings her closer to feeling safe and loved. With a little more time and kindness, she will surely blossom into a wonderful companion.

Poppy and her sister Sage are both slow to adjust to new experiences and people, so in their new home, they will need plenty of time to settle in. Poppy would do best in a home with a confident cat and is fine with dogs as long as they are not overly intrusive. She would also do best in a home without children.

Come visit Poppy and see how far she has come! 🐾✨
✨ Thinking about adopting? ✨
You're welcome to stop by during our open hours to meet the cats and kittens! You can also fill out an application online, and we'll be happy to set up an appointment time for you.
🐾 All cats and kittens adopted from the Boone Area Humane Society must be kept as indoor-only pets and may not be declawed.
🐾 Every cat is spayed/neutered, FeLV tested, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations before adoption.
