Meet Poppet!<br/>Poppet is a 2 year old female cat. No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you - Poppet is very unique with her multiple extra toes! This doesn’t affect her getting around in any way, and just makes her charm all the more special!<br/>Poppet was found trying to break in to a hotel in Hays, obviously looking for a luxury suite to spend the night in! This little girl likes the finer things, and is ready for an owner to spoil her like she deserves.<br/>Since Poppet was a stray, we unfortunately don’t know much about her past.She has been incredibly sweet with all of the humans she meets here, children included. She doesn’t seem to mind the other cats when they pass by her kennel, but we have not yet tested her with any other animals. We recommend a meet and greet with any pets in the home prior to adoption to ensure it’s the right fit!<br/>Poppet is litter box trained and is ready to get out of the HSHP-hotel and into a forever home! If you think Poppet could be the cat for you, stop by and meet her today!

Humane Society of the High Plains's Adoption Policy

Adoption Fees Spayed/Neutered Dogs $90 Spayed/Neutered Cats $80 Intact Dogs $90 + $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit. Intact Cats $80 + $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit. A $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required for all unaltered animals. Kansas State Law KSA: 47-1701, requires all animals adopted from an animal shelter be spayed or neutered. Lonely Hearts Club Adoption Fees are half-priced for any animal that has been residing at the shelter for at least 30 days. Requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. Landlord approval is required. All unaltered animals must be spayed or neutered before a predetermined date. We DO NOT adopt animals as gifts. Ask about our gift certificates. All adoptions must be processed in person at the shelter.
