He has also been SNAP tested and tested negative. He is now ready to leave shelter life behind and find his forever family!<br/><br/>And this boy is a social butterfly! Popeye enjoys spending time with people, and we think he may enjoy having a feline friend to share his home with. A friendly, well-matched cat could be the perfect companion for him!<br/><br/>We also think Popeye may be able to live with children and a well-matched dog, provided introductions are done slowly and appropriately. New Westminster Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AN ANIMAL, please submit an application form. This is the FIRST step in the adoption process. Please do NOT email us just to express interest. https://www.newwestcity.ca/services/animal-services/animal-shelter Our animals have unique personalities and needs. Our goal is to find the most suitable home for them and the most suitable pet for you. We make every effort to place animals in “forever” homes so they don’t find themselves back in a shelter. They’ve already lost their home once, and we don’t want them to go through that again. All applications are reviewed by two shelter staff members. We also conduct a phone interview, at which time we will address any questions or concerns you may have. Typically, we are able to inform applicants within 72 hours. If your application has been approved, we will then schedule a time for you to come pick up your new family member!
