Pop's Story

Pop’s story began on a cool fall evening when she and her siblings, Snap and Crackle, were found trying to survive on the streets. A kind-hearted woman scooped them up and reached out to Megan's Rescue, changing the course of their lives forever.

Life outdoors left Pop frightened and unsure of people, and while she’s come a long way, she’s still very much an independent girl. Pop hasn’t quite figured out the purpose of humans beyond being a reliable food provider, a flirt pole operator, or the official Churu tube holder — and she’s perfectly okay with that arrangement.

What Pop does love is the company of other cats. She is a wonderful feline companion and will need a confident cat friend in her forever home to help her feel safe and secure. She also shares her foster home with a dog and is showing that she can be brave and curious around canine friends too.

Pop is not a lap cat and isn’t interested in being held, petted, or snuggled — at least not right now. Instead, she prefers to observe from a safe distance, quietly watching her foster kitty sister interact with people with growing curiosity.

If you’re looking for a low-key, low-maintenance feline friend who doesn’t demand constant attention and would thrive alongside another cat, Pop might just be your perfect match. She’s gentle, quiet, and learning every day that the world can be a safe place — on her own terms. 🐾
