Poncho is believed to be around 8 years old, and his story is one that pulls at your heart a little.<br/><br/>He spent his entire life in one loving home after being adopted as a kitten. His world was simple and steady. Unfortunately his mom’s health began to decline, and she made the incredibly difficult and selfless decision to surrender him so he could continue to be cared for.<br/><br/>You can tell Poncho misses her, but he is doing his best and learning that new people can be safe and loving too.<br/><br/>He absolutely adores people and truly enjoys affection. Poncho loves being near his humans and soaking up attention. He is a very handsome boy and he knows it.<br/><br/>He lived as an only cat for most of his life, so adjusting to other cats has taken a little time. The good news is that he is starting to settle in nicely and is learning to share his space. That said, he would likely be happiest in a calmer home where things are a little quieter and predictable.<br/><br/>Poncho does fine with dogs and really enjoys being around people. What he wants most is what he had before. A safe place, a loving person, and a home where he can relax and feel secure again.<br/><br/>He has a little bit of what we jokingly call “cuteness aggression.” It is not mean at all.
