Pom Pom Pomegranate's Story
We're searching for a unicorn-adopter. One who is dedicated and determined to continue our good work helping Pom Pom Pomegranate live a comfortable life.

Pom Pom is a tiny, fluffy, twisty-turny, one-year-old spayed female. Pom was born with "swimmer's syndrome," a birth defect that caused three of her four limbs to develop differently. Even though we have spent the past year doing physical therapy, bracing, and other treatments, Pom Pom's legs will never be like other cats.

We've consulted with some of the top orthopedic vet surgeons in the country. Pom does not require any limb correction or amputation at this time.

The good news is Pom Pom doesn't know she's different. You'll find she can zoom around (we refer to this as "Tokyo Drifting".). She can climb onto her cat tree. She even got up onto a table, how, we're not sure. Pom loves running on her cat wheel (and we will provide one to her approved adopter). She loves her sister, Dot Dot Dot, who you'll find in another petfinder listing.

We're not asking to adopt both cats together, but we would love it if that’s what you wanted. What we’re asking for is a “unicorn adopter”-the rarest of all adopters. This person should be willing to provide physical therapy, which may include basic stretching exercises from time to time. At other times, Pom will wear a brace and be placed in her cart to help unkink her back. We will provide the custom brace and cart.

Pom Pom will happily fall asleep in your arms because she's been handled so often. Pom is a sweet girl with an adorable face and plush black fur.

Pom is also sweet, goofy, and playful. Due to her mobility challenges, she uses a a low-sided litter pan with a pad inside it instead of litter. The pad is washable, or you can use a fresh pee-pad after use. She doesn't have accidents. She's like other cats, but needs a bit more attention.

Pom Pom deserves a happy forever home. We hope that's with you.

To apply for Pom please visit our website and go to the Pre Adoption Page: https://kittenassociates.org/node/add/adoption-application
