Pom Pom's Story

2 years old • Male • Grey & White • 9 lbs
Currently in foster care in Pickering, ON
Adoption Fee: $250

Pom Pom is a gorgeous 2-year-old boy who is equal parts sweetheart and playmate. Surrendered to a Quebec shelter when his owner had too many cats, this little gentleman has blossomed in foster care and is now ready for his forever home.

Thanks to our friends at One Last Chance in Quebec and the amazing Freedom Drivers who transported him, Pom Pom’s second chance at a happy life is here!

From the moment you meet him, Pom Pom’s affectionate nature shines through. He’s curious, social, and playful with his favourite toys being springs, wand toys, and the laser pointer. He loves spending time watching “cat TV” and gazing out the window. Instead of meowing, Pom Pom has a unique way of “talking” — he communicates with sweet little chirps and trills that make him all the more endearing.

Personality:
• Social and affectionate, loves people and laps
• Curious explorer who enjoys being in the middle of things
• Playful with any toy you wave his way
• Gentle and well-mannered, doesn’t jump on counters and uses his litter box perfectly
• Easygoing at the vet and in the car (he even tolerates nail trims if his eyes are covered!)
• Communicates with adorable little chirps instead of meows

Pom Pom recently had all his teeth removed due to stomatitis, but he handled the surgery like a champ. He now eats canned food and soaked kibble with no trouble at all. Our vet says he should be able to eat dry kibble once his mouth is completely healed.

Pom Pom’s Ideal Home:
• Indoor-only, where he’ll stay safe and healthy
• A home with another friendly cat would be wonderful — Pom Pom would thrive with a playmate
• A family or individual ready to give him plenty of love, attention, and playtime

Vet Info:
• Neutered
• Microchipped
• Up to date on vaccines
• Dewormed and treated for ear mites and tapeworm upon arrival

Adoption Process:
We take finding the perfect home very seriously. Our process includes:
• Online application
• Zoom interview and home check
• Reference checks
• In-person meet and greet with Pom Pom in Pickering

Please be sure you’re ready for the long-term commitment of caring for a cat for the next 15–20 years. Pom Pom deserves a forever home full of love, play, and cozy laps!

Apply to adopt Pom Pom here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/185ZIRQENjbgXbs9o7AsTOZp7j6u_GuK1K1M0FSsLMTk/edit?usp=drivesdk

Learn more about our rescue: www.adoptadogsavealife.com
