Pom Poko

Pom Poko is one of the Ghibli kittens, who were all named for Studio Ghibli movies. They were brought into Animal House Rescue when they were just one week old. His birthday is on 6/16/25.<br/><br/>Pom Poko is brown tabby with light brown around his face progressing to dark brown down his back. He has white starting starting between his eyes and continuing underneath him. His belly and legs are mainly white as well as his tail tip. He is litter box trained and eats dry food, but still loves to get wet food.<br/><br/>He is always happy to see us. He will head bump and rub his cheeks on our faces all the while purring. He loves to spend time sitting in the couch with us.<br/><br/>He enjoys scritches, on his head, down his back and especially on his chin and cheeks. He does have an aversion to having his stomach petted/touched and usually runs away if you try to do so. He will fall asleep in your lap if you can get him to sit still long enough. He loves to play with his siblings, toy mice, springs, and a feather wand. <br/><br/>While he is brave around the house, whenever someone knocks at the door, or if someone comes over, he does disappear for a while. Once he decides it is safe again, he comes out. <br/><br/>There are adult cats as well as dogs in the foster home. He has not warmed up to the dogs and will still hiss at them if they get too close. That said, he will still be active and play in the same room they are in. He does much better with the resident cats, some of them he plays with and some of them he ignores in typical cat fashion. With proper introductions, he would fine in a home that already has pets present.<br/><br/>He has been dewormed, flea treated, neutered and vaccinated as appropriate to his age. His adoption fee is $50.00 and he is ready for a home of his own!
