Meet Poky, named after a beloved Children's Book about a black and white puppy. This boy is everything you'd want in a kitten... he's sweet, affectionate, smart and playful.<br/><br/>Poky was rescued from the middle of a busy street in Hollywood where we suspect he may have fallen out of the engine area of a vehicle. Fortunately, a kind man saw this happen and ran to scoop him up.<br/><br/>He was a little fearful, at first, but he immediately went to a foster home with another kitten, close to his age (Dustin, seen in some of the pics here) along with other friendly, resident kitties. They all welcomed him and soon he was wrestling with and chasing them all.<br/><br/>Poky is still very-much a kitten and will hop up into his foster parent's laps, on the couch when they're watching TV or in bed. He does have a favorite blanket which he LOVES to suckle on while making biscuits. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home!
