Poke`'s Story

Meet Poke, the spunkiest, most energetic yet calming boy a cat lover could ask for! This handsome guy has the perfect combination of playful energy and affectionate charm. He loves playing with his toys, following you from room to room, and then curling up beside you for hours of snuggles. Poke is incredibly social and greets everyone at the door like the true gentleman he is. At night, he's happiest tucked in beside you, handing out kisses and extra cuddles. If you're looking for a cat who genuinely wants to be part of your everyday life, Poke may be your perfect match!

Poke came to us after what was initially thought to be a urinary blockage. After further evaluation and multiple veterinary visits, it was discovered that part of his anatomy was malformed and required reconstructive surgery. Thankfully, Poke healed beautifully and has never let his medical history slow him down or diminish his silly, loving personality. Today, he is ready to put that chapter behind him and focus on finding the forever family he deserves.

Poke is also FIV positive. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is often misunderstood, but many cats with FIV live long, happy, completely normal lives. FIV is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, rather than normal social behaviors such as sharing food bowls, grooming, or cuddling. Because of this, FIV-positive cats can often live peacefully with other friendly, non-aggressive cats. FIV simply means that his immune system can be a little more sensitive if he is exposed to illness. With routine veterinary care, good nutrition, and a safe **indoor-only lifestyle**, many FIV-positive cats live full, happy lives without complications. Poke does not require any special medical treatment, just the same love, attention, and care you would give any cat.

And then there's his personality, which is really what makes Poke so special! With his beautiful markings, pink nose, and big expressive eyes, he's hard to resist. He loves his people and will happily bring you toy mice, follow you around the house, keep you company throughout the day, and snuggle beside you at night. He's playful when it's time for fun, affectionate when it's time to relax, and happiest when he can be close to his humans.

Poke is an **indoor-only cat** who is looking for a loving, committed forever home where he can be safe, spoiled, and part of the family. He has been through a lot, but you would never know it from his happy, silly spirit. This sweet boy is more than ready to find the people he can love for a lifetime and he cannot wait to meet you!

**Poke's Diet:** Poke currently eats Hill's Prescription Diet z/d Skin & Food Sensitivities Hydrolyzed Chicken Flavor Dry Cat Food and does best staying on this diet.
