Poison ivy's Story
Meet Poison Ivy! A 2 year old female black cat

Poison Ivy is being listed as a working cat due to how timid she is and the lack of interest people tend to have in the timid cats.

Working cat typically refers to a cat that you are incapable of safely handling however, Poison Ivy is a cat you can do so with she just lacks confidence, she doesn’t trust anyone yet and needs a home to which will give her patience and commitment!

To put into perspective the amount of potential Ivy has to be such a loving girl, one of our part time ACO’s for the first time having her out picked her up with ease and sat with her for 30 minutes, it only took Ivy 5 to completely relax and start to slowly blink with the ACO! Those are some of the pictures being presented to you above!!

It goes to show that she just needs a home willing to expose her and work through her fears.

On top of that! She does good with dogs and cats! Acts like they have always been there however, we would not want her in a home with small children due to the fact that she doesn’t do well with super fast movements from people.

Poison Ivy’s adoption will be $75.00 this comes with alteration, vaccinations, micro chip, also testing for tick born diseases and feline virus!

Sooo, if you think you’re the purrrfect home for this little quiet girl, contact the Blackstone Valley Animal Control at 508-883-BVAC (2822) or email aco@blackstonepolice.org. Applications can be done in advance or at the time of your meet and greet. Applications can also be found at blackstonepolice.org under the Animal Control tab.

Feel free to check out our Instagram and Facebook also!

Insta user: blackstone_vly._animal_control

Facebook user’s:
- Blackstone Valley Animal Control
- Blackstone Regional Animal Shelter

Thank you everyone!!
Blackstone Valley Animal Control
Blackston Regional Animal Shelter
