Pogue's Story

Introducing Pogue!

This 6 year old tuxedo girl is a bit of a free spirit, happy to do her own thing and show off how independent she can be. She doesn't ask for much, and doesn't really need to be the center of attention. But once she knows that she is safe and with someone who respects her personal boundaries, she will start to lax on them and present a more affectionate side of her personality to you.

Pogue isn't a lap cat, but when she chooses to offer you headbutts and purrs, her sweetness will absolutely melt your heart. Don't force her, let her come to you. And when she finally does, just get ready for the love!

A good way to win her over and to help her get comfortable is by playing with interactive toys with her, like laser pointers and wand toys.

Pogue comes to us with her sister, Emerald. They aren't littermates, and they aren't particularly bonded where they MUST be adopted together. But they did grow up together living in the same home for the past 5 years, and we would prefer to keep them together, for familiarity's sake. Them having their life uprooted right now is a lot, and we feel like sticking together will help them with the changes. of course, we will offer discounts to anyone willing to adopt them as a pair!

Our Mission
To provide support, shelter and good old fashioned "love and care" to at-risk felines in need of a second chance. We aim to do this by way of rescue, foster, adoption, re-homing, and community support, among other means. Our overall goal is simple. We want cats to have a safe, comfortable and loving home and we will do all...
