Poe (FeLV+)'s Story
Poe is an approximate 3 year old male brown and white tabby looking for his forever family. Poe came to our rescue as a local feral stray and warmed up well with us. He was adopted and then returned back to us due to the other cat in the household continuing to pick on him. He loves other cats and is incredibly gentle with them, but would do best in a home with less dominant cats (if any). Poe is still a little shy around people, but is coming around really well since his time with us.

Poe's adoption fee is $60 - he is neutered, vaccinated for feline distemper and rabies, microchipped and is FIV negative. Poe is FeLV+, meaning that he will have a weakened immune system for life, but he is still capable of living a happy (commonly shortened) life in a stress free and healthy environment (healthy diet, healthy home environment). FeLV is transmissible between cats mostly through saliva, therefore he can be adopted out to a home with other FeLV+ cats or no cats at all. Unfortunately, there is no treatment for this disease, but he is still deserving of a forever family to call his own.

Poe is currently being fostered in Pardeeville, WI. If you are interested in adopting or having questions/concerns about his positive FeLV status, please contact us via email at latoyascatlegacy@gmail.com.
