Poe's Story

Poe is a petite black-and-white girl with a gentle soul and a quiet way about her. She’s on the shy side right now, which makes sense. Poe has been through a lot of change recently after spending about three months at another shelter before arriving with us.

Originally found as a stray, Poe was taken in by someone who cared about her but wasn’t able to keep her long-term due to having too many animals. Through it all, she’s remained sweet, calm, and kind, just needing a little time to feel safe and settled again. We also know she has lived with other cats, and would likely be good to live with others again!

Poe is looking for a patient, loving home where she can decompress at her own pace and show off her true personality. With a gentle approach and some consistency, this quiet girl will blossom into a wonderful companion.

This cat attends Saturday adoption events (10 AM to 2:30 PM) and Sunday Adoption Events (12pm to 3pm) at our Verona Adoption Center.

READY TO ADOPT? Angel's Wish, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match. Please note, completing an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt. You are welcome to visit our animals without an application on file, but if you find a cat/kitten you want, you may be bumped by a pre-approved adopter while your application is being processed. We are unable to hold animals without an approved application. Check our website for the most up to date adoption policies.
