Podo's Story

Meet Podo!
Podo is a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair Bobtail with the sweetest heart and the cutest little tail. This handsome boy is a total lovebug who melts for tummy rubs and pets.

Podo’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was rescued from a cat colony a year ago suffering from severe pododermatitis (“pillow foot”). Life outdoors was no longer safe for him, so he came to the sanctuary for treatment. After months of care, we were thrilled to get his condition into remission! While pillow foot can sometimes relapse, with proper monitoring Podo is expected to live a long, happy, and healthy life.

Today, Podo is thriving. He’s a gentle, affectionate companion who enjoys the company of other cats, is good with kids, and even gets along with dogs. He’s a little on the chunky side, which only adds to his charm.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving cat who’s overcome the odds and is ready to fill your home with warmth, Podo is your guy!

Please remember: Unless otherwise specified, all our kittens and cats are strictly indoor pets.

If you’re interested in adoption, please visit straylovefoundation.org and complete an adoption application.

Every rescue in our care receives comprehensive vetting, which includes:

A combo test
Deworming
Spay/neuter procedures
Vaccinations
Microchipping

We take every possible step to ensure their health and happiness, giving them the best chance at a long, fulfilling life.

While we do everything in our power to provide healthy rescues, it's important to note that some animals may have genetic health conditions we cannot predict (since we don’t have their family history). Additionally, medical tests—though highly reliable—can occasionally yield false negatives. Unexpected health issues may arise, either before or after adoption, but thanks to our thorough vetting process, the likelihood of a long and healthy life is very high.

Additional adoption details:

Transportation fees, if applicable, vary based on distance and expenses.
Home checks may be conducted.
Our standard tax-deductible adoption donation is $168.
For special breeds, uniquely colored, or exceptionally adorable rescues, we may request a higher donation to help cover vet expenses.

Can't adopt?
