PoGray's Story
PoGray: Retired Pirate. Treasure Hunter. Sunbeam Sailor.

Ahoy there. The name's PoGray, former captain cat of the S.S. Nine Lives. I've sailed the high seas of alleyways, kitchen counters, and quiet back porches. I've weathered storms you wouldn't believe! I've swashbuckled my way through scrapes, scuffles, and I've led the occasional mutiny on the vet. I've plundered the best sunbeams, claimed countless cozy blankets, and I still lived to tell the tale.

Along my voyages, I picked up a few battle scars and souvenirs: FIV, FeLV, and an ear that's been through more krakens than I can count. These days, the charts say 'hospice,' but I say I'm just looking for a place to dock for my final port. The sea's been good to me, but I'm ready for calmer waters.

The shelter? Feels like a crowded tourist port on market day - too loud, too busy, and too many gulls squawking. I'm looking for a quieter captain's deck now. A place where I can stretch my paws, watch the horizon from a sunny window, and maybe share a tankard of fish with my new bunk mate. I'll always share me' fish with me' first mate!

I'm no trouble as a crew member - just keep my med chest stocked, get me to the doc when the ship's log says it's time, and make sure my quarters are soft and warm. I'll keep a sharp eye on your home, and in return you'll have a steady stream of sea shanties and salty tales from my days on the ocean, I can sing to you via purr.

So, if you're ready to take in a seasoned sailor with a heart full of stories, I'm ready to sign on for my final voyage - right into your home.

Let's drop anchor together.
-- Captain PoGray

Since he is positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), PoGray can only cohabitate with FeLV+ cats, dogs, or other non-feline animals. FeLV is species-specific and only contagious to cats; it is not contagious to humans, dogs, or other non-cat animals. He must always remain an indoor kitty and needs to be fed a nutritionally complete and balanced diet. For this reason, his adoption fee is waived.
Please visit https://felinerescue.org/all-cats/ to learn more about me and where I am located!
