Plutarch's Story

Meet Plutarch!
Plutarch and his brothers came to us from a property in West Virginia where they endured severe abuse and cruelty. When they arrived, these tiny babies needed round-the-clock bottle feedings, dedicated care, and more love than we could possibly fit into one little kitten. Sadly, one of his brothers didn't survive, but Plutarch and his brother Ampert kept fighting.
Inspired by the newest Hunger Games story, their names reflect the fact that these boys have been fighting for survival since they were just tiny kittens. They have come such a long way from those fragile bottle babies, and after growing, thriving, and finally reaching the weight needed for neuter, Plutarch is officially ready for his next chapter!
Unlike his talkative brother, Plutarch is a little more of a “just pet me, please” kind of guy. He enjoys being loved on, soaking up gentle pets, and sitting back to observe the world around him. But don't let that quiet personality fool you — this boy has a serious weakness for soft, fuzzy blankets. Put one down, and Plutarch will be there before you can even finish spreading it out. If there's a cozy spot and a human nearby, he's pretty sure he's found his happy place.
Plutarch tends to prefer his human friends, but he gets along with feline friends, too. Having another friendly cat around would be a wonderful bonus for him.
Plutarch can be adopted separately from Ampert, so there's no requirement for them to find a home together. We simply want each boy to have the companionship and love he deserves.
These kittens began life knowing far too much hardship. While in our care, they've learned that hands can be gentle, people can be trusted, and life can be full of warmth, comfort, and love.
Now Plutarch is ready to trade his difficult beginning for a lifetime of cozy blankets, loving pets, and a family who will cherish him.
