Plato's Story

Hello, wonderful humans! My name is Plato, and despite what my name suggests, I'm less of a philosopher and more of a professional snuggler. I'm an adult gentleman with perfect manners, a soft coat that loves brushing, and a heart that's happiest when I'm by your side.

I'm a very friendly guy, and I greet visitors like they're longtime friends. I love laps, being picked up, pets, and even tummy rubs-yes, really! My foster says I'm one of those rare cats who asks for a belly pet and means it. I also enjoy brushing sessions, quiet time near my humans, and pretty much any opportunity to be close.

I'm playful too-play mice, balls, and feather wands keep me entertained. I'm great with other cats, and due to my gentle nature would probably like kids although I haven't spent any time with kids yet. I use my litterbox perfectly and am very tidy about it. For scratching, I prefer vertical sisal posts, and I hope my new home has one waiting for me.

One thing you should know about me: I'm on a special urinary diet because I had crystals in my bladder. It keeps me healthy, and I'll need to stay on it long-term. I'm very good about eating what I'm supposed to-as long as you don't expect me to enjoy bad-tasting medicine. I think that's fair.

What I love most in the world? Being with my people. If you sit down, I'll be right there next to you, purring, relaxing, or gently nudging your hand for more pets. I don't need much-just a soft spot, a loving human, and someone who appreciates a loyal, affectionate companion.

If you're looking for a friendly, loving cat who makes every day cozier, I'd love to meet you. Invite me for a meet-and-greet, and I'll bring all my charm-and maybe even roll over for a belly rub.
