Pistachio (aka Stachie pronounced Stashie)'s Story
Hi my name is Pistachio (aka Stache, pronounced Stashie) and I am pretty young, maybe 8-10 months old to 1.5 years old at most. I was actually live trapped off my rescuer's back deck. Of course, I was on there because that's where the food is for their outdoor cats and I was helping myself! So, please note, Stache has been inside for the past month or so, but he loves it outside so he would probably appreciate a home where he can be inside AND outside.

I was not so friendly when they first trapped me, but to be honest, they did leave me in the trap ALL DAY. Then they put me in their sunroom, where I've lived for about the last month. For the first two weeks I had nothing to do with them, but they just kept my in some of the best vittles I've ever had (lots better than what is on the deck, lol) plus my rescue mama brings me canned food every morning for breakfast.

After about two weeks I decided she must be ok so I stopped hissing at her and started weaving in and out around her ankles and rubbing up against her. Finally she got the hint and started petting me and now we are really doing well. She brought a guy out to the sunroom and I wasn't really crazy about a stranger being in my space (never mind that it's HIS space!) so I haven't been super willing to allow him to charm me, but I don't hiss. I just hide.

I will probably take a minute to warm up and I'm not fond of being held....yet. Though I can be held for a bit and I do not get ugly about it, but I feel better being on the ground on my own four feet! But I do love to chase her feet which got me swatted, so I responded by not coming to her the next day. But, I just can't resist, she's so nice to me, so I forgave her and now we are buds again. She has said something about getting me to the vet, not sure who he is or what will happen there, but I guess I trust her, she seems pretty nice.

I use my litter box perfectly and hope to find my own family to curl up with and chase their feet. Is that you? Will you be my furever love?

P.S. Stache will be neutered and vaccinated before going to his new home. I tested him out with a dog and he LOVES dogs, rubs all over them, which surprised me.
