Pippa & Pascal (bonded siblings)'s Story

Pippa and Pascal are 1-year-old brother and sister who were rescued as kittens after being born outside in Brooklyn. They have spent the past year learning that people can be pretty great, and have proven to be playful, goofy, sweet young cats who are ready for a permanent home of their own, together.

These tuxedo cuties love chasing each other around the house, playing, bird-watching from the window, and keeping tabs on one another. If they lose track of each other, they’ll even call out to find their sibling. Because they’re bonded, Pippa and Pascal must be adopted together.

Pippa:

Pippa is the boy (long story) and he is the fluffy lounger of the pair. He loves finding a comfortable spot to relax and show off his beautiful coat and tail. He’s also excellent at entertaining himself — the ball-track toy is a particular favorite.

Pippa can be shy around people, but once he decides he’s ready for affection, he’ll bow his little head to let you know it’s petting time. Then comes the heavy purring, he has quite the motor! He makes the cutest inquisitive faces wondering what you’ll do next, and when he encounters an interesting smell, he makes the funniest expression.

Pascal:

Pascal is our playful girl! She loves hiding around a corner and launching a surprise attack on an unsuspecting toy, carrying her toys around in her mouth, and occasionally chasing after a feline friend’s nearby tail.

She’s an observer and will happily stare at you with enormous, owl-like eyes while she decides what she thinks of the situation. She can be shy about petting at first — but once you get started, she often decides she would actually like you to never stop.

Pascal especially loves other cats and seems particularly enamored with friendly male cats, so these two could be a great fit for a home that already has a social, cat-friendly resident.

The Home They Need:

Pippa and Pascal are socialized, but they were born with a genuinely shy nature. A move to a new home will be a big transition for them, and their adopter should expect them to need time to warm up and become their true selves. They’ll do best with someone who understands that trust with a shy cat is built gradually: giving them a quiet place to settle in, letting them approach on their own terms, and celebrating the little milestones along the way.

Both Pippa and Pascal are fully vetted; spayed/neutered, up-to-date on both Rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped and tested negative for both FeLV and FIV.
