Piper- Our longest resident kitty's Story

How is this perfect kitty still at the shelter? This petite little beauty is Piper, and she has been in the care of the shelter for SEVEN LONG MONTHS. Piper has seen dozens of kitties come and go from the shelter, and she gets so excited to meet new people, only to have them leave without her. She's super friendly, affectionate, loves attention, loves to play, loves other kitties, and loves people. She checks ALL of the boxes, yet she still remains at the shelter, and it's really starting to show. This little beauty is starting to act a bit depressed, and the light in her eyes that was once there, is just not what it used to be. Piper has spent far more time at the shelter than we ever thought that she would, and she is ready to spring the coop! The gorgeous Piper and her kittens were brought to us after their owner lost their housing. She has an estimated birthday of 7/21/23 making her about 2 1/2 years old, perhaps younger. This sweet girl and her kittens had initially been in foster care, and her foster mom said that she is an absolutely wonderful girl, and we totally agree! She got along great with the cats in the foster home, and gets along great with the kitties at the shelter as well. This terrific little tabby roams free in our kitty room and has made friends with each of the kitties out with her. She never hisses, growls or starts any feline fiascos. She's as close to kitty perfection as you can get! She has a very sweet disposition and acts like a kitten herself. She's very playful and has a fun spirit about her, and she is an overall lovebug. Piper loves feather toys, furry mice and is a catnip fan. She even had the hang of the kitty exercise wheel in her foster home! She's a smart little cookie and will make a fun and fabulous sidekick for a family or single person! Piper would do great in a home with other kitties, since she is so accustomed to kitty company, but may be just fine as an only kitty. Piper hasn't met any dogs, but considering how well she acclimates, she would likely do fine with a cat-friendly, gentle dog. Piper has been around kids and does quite well with them, so she would be a great addition to a young family! Would you like to meet this sweet as can be young lady and finally give her the loving forever home that has been evading her? If so, please complete an application and once approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet.

West Jefferson, Ohio
#hsmcohio

A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
