Piper's Story

Piper showed up at our vet office by an animal disposal type of company with instructions to euthanize. The folks at the vet office contacted Cat Tales to see if we could take him in as they did not want to euthanize a perfectly friendly and healthy kitty. Thankfully, we were able to take him in and put him into a foster home to let him relax. His foster family instantly referred to him as a dreamboat and even tried to find any of their family members looking for a pet. Piper is young (about a year and a half old) and loves what all young cats like - to play. He is also pretty good at sleeping, as most cats of any age are. He's a silly boy who has been known to lounge in the bathroom sink in his foster home. Piper seems to be an all-around good-natured kitty that could do well in just about any environment with a proper introduction.

While at our adoption center Piper developed some issues with his knees. Apparently he was predisposed to this issue of luxating patellas. Sadly, it occurred in both of his hind legs. We scheduled surgery for the one and then after he recovered we scheduled surgery for the other. Now is SUPER PIPER with everything in working order.

Piper had been adopted and was in his home for over a year and was returned due to some referred aggression. Piper is a wonderful cat and sweet & loving as can be, but we feel he would do best in a home that doesn't have the chaos and noise that comes with small children. He does get along with other cats but we think he would do THE BEST in a home without other cats. He loves his human attention so much.

*****If this profile is active on Petfinder, the kitty is still available and has not already been approved for adoption. You do not need to message to ask us if the kitty is still available.*****

If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please submit an application online at www.CatTalesInc.org and a Cat Tales Adoption Application Review Team member will contact you within 72 hours by email to begin processing your application and answer any questions you have.

All kitties from Cat Tales will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped before they go to their homes. Please note that most kittens are not big/old enough for spay/neuter until they reach approximately 12 or 13 weeks. Most kittens posted here are below that age, so please note their DOB here and understand that they will not be ready for adoption until they have been fully vetted.
