Piper's Story
**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Piper, Pepper and Pearl were kittens rescued from a recycling plant overrun with too many cats multiplying way too quickly. The kittens urgently needed medical attention in order to survive; now healthy, their personalities are shining through! Piper will need a calm, friendly cat in her forever home. She is not necessarily attached to her sisters, and actually morphed into a marshmallow when the resident adult male cat walked into the room. Go figure.

Piper is a fluffy, gorgeous girl with an attitude that says, ‘I know it and don’t you forget it’! Her face is so expressive she can’t hide a single emotion. She loves to lick Churus but will growl the whole time just so you know your place. Her sass is what makes her so compelling and adorable!

Initially, Piper was very shut down because she was so sick; but after the medication kicked in, she perked right up and started to sprinkle liberally all that spice around! She is inquisitive and loves to play — especially with any soft balls that she can carry around and hide. After all, why should anyone be allowed to touch HER favourite things?! She enjoys the wand toys as well.

Piper’s definitely got a dash of spice in her, but more often than not, it’s just a big show rooted in uncertainty. Put her with a big gentle cat, and she is suddenly a super friendly kitten rubbing up against the nearest human and letting herself be handled with not a protest…Huh. That said, Piper is going to conquer hearts and steal the limelight in her forever home, and your gentle, affable cat will have an instant adoring fan and a devoted, lifelong little shadow. Give Piper some time (and Churus, of course!), and she will open right up and be your best friend — loud purrs included!

Would you like to make Piper a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
