Piper's Story
Piper came to the shelter as a tiny kitten from a barn, in very poor condition. Sadly, one of her eyes was severely bulging, infected, and painful. Despite our best efforts, it could not be saved. Not surprisingly, Piper was very unsure of people at the beginning.

She has been at the shelter since January 2025 and is now a little over a year old. Over time, Piper has slowly started to feel more comfortable. With patience and gentle, slow movements, she may allow pets. Piper would do best in a calm, quiet home with someone who understands that she needs time and patience to build trust. One thing that wins her over quickly is treats.

She has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines.

Email us at info@cnysnap.org or visit the shelter if you'd like to meet Piper.

Link to hours of when to visit cats at our Cortland shelter:
https://cnysnap.org/#hours
