PIP's Story

MEET PIP!

This adorable little cat with a big personality is Pip! Pip is around 12 years old and was brought to Philly's animal control shelter along with her senior housemate, Dusty after their owner passed away. Luckily, both cats were able to join City of Elderly Love and went to the same foster home. Now that we've gotten to know her fun and goofy personality, it's time to help her find the perfect home!

Pip is equally sweet and equally mischievous. She loves to cuddle and will get right under the covers to sleep next to you and wait for you in the bathroom or right outside the door while you shower. She also loves to play - her favorite toys are springs, shiny foil balls, and feather wands. She's also great about using her cardboard scratcher. If you're looking for a cat who won't try to climb on the furniture or won't try to push your water bottle off the table, Pip might not be a cat for you. She loves to be involved and explore her surroundings and will keep you laughing while she does it!

Unfortunately shortly after leaving the shelter, Pip's housemate Dusty was diagnosed with Lymphoma and passed away. He and Pip had always lived with each other and mostly tolerated each other with the occasional swat like an old married couple. We haven't seen Pip around other animals besides Dusty but we have a feeling she would be happiest in a home without other pets. She'd do well in a home with kids with the understanding that she can be playful but may also want her space. Pip has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue!

Pip is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
