It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


A friend who lives in the Highland Park neighborhood contacted us about a situation in her apartment complex (in an area with lots of coyotes). She told us about a neighbor who had been feeding some cats and didn't have time to get them spayed. We offered to help but it was too late - at least one had already given birth. A few weeks later we were told that the neighbor that was feeding all the feral cats in the complex just moved and left them. So that's how little PINKY ended up with us. Now PINKY is ready for her FUREVER home.


PINKY is a shy cat at first, but becomes very loving once she gets to know and trust you. She likes to cuddle in bed and get love. If you don’t give her love when she demands it, she will get your attention by playfully going after your toes. She’s a sweet girl that gets along great with other cats. She really comes out of her shell when in a calm environment. She’s very sweet and loves sleeping with you and/or on your legs. She’s not a fan of cats younger than her. She’s not really playful just a sweet girl who likes love!!!


PINKY is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. She is about 2 years old. She is good with cats and is ok with children. She has never been around dogs.


PINKY is currently at a foster's home in Beaumont, California.


ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

JANUARY 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 11 am. We are working on getting evening volunteers too! Email us and ask us. We will let you know what days evening volunteers are there.


The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc....once the adoption has been finalized. So gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
