Pinky's Story

Meet Pinky!

Pinky is a certified homebody. She’s happiest staying in with her favorite people, her toys, and her fellow feline friends. Traveling and new places? Hard pass — those are way too spooky for her. But once she’s in her safe space, Pinky’s personality really shines.

When she feels comfortable, she’s curious, bold, and a little impulsive — always noticing everything around her. Catch her fully relaxed and you’ll find her sprawled belly-up on the couch, living her best life. As she works through her shy side, Pinky becomes incredibly sweet and loyal, showing her love with a soft, quiet meow.

Pinky is big on playtime! Her absolute favorite is a cat track toy, where she can bat the balls around endlessly. She also loves chasing the red dot from a laser pointer and proudly pouncing on her “catch.” When it’s time to choose for herself, she’ll dig through the toy bin and almost always grab her plush, lifelike lizard.

When playtime is over, Pinky can be found curled up in a wicker basket for a cozy nap — or hopping onto your bed at night to settle in nearby. She’s the perfect mix of shy, silly, and sweet for someone who loves a calm, comfy, stay-at-home companion!

If interested in meeting Pinky, please submit an application here: https://fjcasp.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application/

Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets's Adoption Policy
At FJCASP, we dedicate a great deal of love, time, and resources to caring for our animals, and our top priority is to see them go to permanent, loving homes with people who have the knowledge and means to provide proper care. Adoption Fee: $80–$150 Vet References Required We require that all potential adopters provide veterinary references. This allows us to confirm that any current or past pets have been kept up to date on vaccinations, preventatives, and are spayed/neutered. Most veterinary offices are familiar with this request. Our goal is to ensure that our animals are placed in homes where they will remain safe, healthy, and properly cared for. Long-Term Commitment Adopting a pet is a serious, long-term commitment. We want all potential adopters to understand their responsibilities and be prepared to care for an animal for its lifetime. Home Requirements To provide a safe environment, we require that adopters provide: - Proper shelter for the animal - Understanding of how to introduce a new pet to children and existing animals -Commitment to keeping the animal as an indoor pet Adoption Approval All adoptions must be finalized and approved by the FJCASP Board. This ensures oversight by experienced individuals who can confirm that all parties understand their responsibilities and that the animal’s welfare is prioritized. Adopter Responsibilities It is part of our adoption agreement that all medical treatments, veterinary costs, preventatives, food, and shelter are the sole responsibility of the adopter. Our goal is to place each animal in a loving, safe, and permanent home, and these guidelines help us ensure that every adoption is successful for both the pet and the adopter.
