Pinkie's Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Pinkie and his brothers were born and rescued from a recycling plant where the cat population was getting out of control. He is a timid little guy trying his best to adjust to the new indoor life, and would do best either being adopted with his more outgoing brothers, or go home to a confident and friendly cat who can offer him comfort and be his guiding light.

Pinky is a soft and timid tabby boy, the shyest one of the three brothers. Funny enough, he is actually the most vocal of the three mouseketeers, and is not shy to meow when he is hungry or wants a treat! Thankfully, he is very treat-motivated and easily bribed. As long as you stay low to the ground, he will come seeking for pets, especially if there is a treat involved!

As Pinkie is still a little hesitant about people, he prefers to observe the goings-on from a distance first, and once he feels comfortable, will join in for play time with his brothers and the humans. He follows the lead of his outgoing siblings and the other resident cats, and is encouraged by them to bravely engage with people,
With patience and a lot of incentives (aka Churus!), Pinkie is well on his way to being an integral part of a cat-loving family. Add on his brothers or another friendly kitty or two, and Pinkie is ready to settle right down and live the best life!

Would you like to make Pinkie a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
