Pinkerton's Story
Say hello to Pinkerton!

Despite her grumpy sour face, this little cutie is such a sweet girl!

Pinkerton was one of a group of 7 outdoor cats that someone was feeding, so they kept returning to her backyard. That person unfortunately passed away, and now her family is preparing to sell the house, so they contacted a friend of ours who specializes in TNR. Out of the group of 7, Pinkerton was the smallest, the youngest, and the friendliest. She doesn't have any fear or aggression toward people, and came right up to our friend. We think she saw our friend as her ticket into a new forever indoor life, and she jumped at the chance!

Pinkerton is now about 1 year and 4 months old (as of February 2026). She is fixed and vaccinated, and tested negative on her SNAP test. She has grown such a personality since we met her almost 9 months ago. She has grown very close to her foster siblings, so her ideal home will have a few cats for her to pal around, wrestle, and play with. She has even grown used to being around our dog. He is small, but loud, and she is pretty much unphased by his barking now.

As she grew more comfortable being around us, she also set more boundaries. She used to freeze up when we'd approach, and allow herself to be picked up and snuggled. Now, she is fast and quite elusive! She prefers to admire humans from afar. On the rare occasion she is having a super playful night and other kitties are involved, we can coerce her into a game with the laser pointer or cat dancer, but she is definitely not a fan of being picked up and held.

We don't say this to deter anyone from applying, just being honest about things. If you were looking for a snuggly lap cat, I'm afraid that Pinkie is not your girl. Oddly enough, she LOVES TV, and if you happen to be watching a show that catches her interest, she will jump on the couch and watch it with you, but she makes sure she is just far enough out of arms reach haha

Pinkie has had quite a few Meet & Greets that all ultimately ended in her not being adopted, so there is a chance that once she KNOWS she is HOME, she will let her guard down and start to come around more. As far as we are concerned, she chooses to be physically affectionate once in a blue moon. We've learned to treasure those moments, and accept that for the most part, she would rather sit and observe us from the safety of her cat tree.

We cannot stress enough how important it is to be patient with your kitties, and Pinkerton is a perfect girl to help teach that!

Pinkerton is available now!
