Pineapple's Story
**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Pineapple and his brothers survived the first few months of their lives in a recycling plant, but are so much happier in a foster home being spoiled with love and treats. He is similar in temperament to Pinkie, a little braver perhaps, and quite attached to Peanut. He would do well being adopted with his brothers.

Pineapple and Pinkie are twins in terms of looks and personality, with Pineapple being slightly more confident. He lets Peanut lead the way and relies on his brother’s intuition to trust humans, and have come to realize that people give really good scritches and head rubs, and will approach tentatively to ask for pets when Peanut is getting some. He will even roll onto his back and show his belly in total surrender, as long as you remain still and do not stand up or move fast.

Pineapple is very treat-motivated and loves playtime and jumping onto high perches. He has started sleeping on beds, which is his biggest milestone to date because he is no longer running scared at the sight of people.

This timid but eager to engage kitty is a sweetheart deserving of all the love in the world. He would be well-matched with brother Peanut, or since Pinkie is his mirror image in looks and temperament, the two tabbies will do quite nicely together too.

Would you like to make Pineapple and his brothers too, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
