Pillsbury (M) & Eggo (F) NOT BONDED's Story
Jefferson Pound, Lake Hopatcong, NJ

Weirdo Kiddens Division

Siblings Pillsbury and Eggo (boy and girl) have been at the pound since around April, having been trapped along with their mom Pop Tart (separate cage in Rm 1)

You can see by the last pic just how tiny they were when they first came in! They are cute, playful and full of personality! While they are not especially fond of being held or touched (yet) they are fairly friendly in their own way! Especially if you bring them some Temptation treats, as I found out today!

To be honest, I don't usually try to interact with them by petting them because they are in a top cage, one that is on top of the cage bank in Room 2, and I can't reach them when they go to the back of the cage...unless I go and look for the bench, and that's a lot of work when you already have a couple dozen other cats to get to!

So today I gave them treats and they came right up to the front of the cage for them. They are definitely not shy when treats are around! And if you put one of the "ball-in-a-track" toys in there for them, watch out!

Someday when I'm there and it's quiet I will see about taking them out and letting them play on the floor for a while :)

Also, I do not think they are technically "bonded." They are so young, I don't think they HAVE to go home together (but you can ask the ACO for their opinion on that!)

(Personally, I think it's the BIG cat buddies who we can see are really attached to each other that are generally considered bonded.)

Here is the pre-adopt form if you would like to meet Pillsbury and Eggo or any of the other cats/kittens at the pound!

https://jefferson.seamlessdocs.com/f/preadopt
