Pignut's Story

Meet Pignut!

AGE AT ARRIVAL: Approximately 5 -6 months old
ARRIVAL DATE: October 27th, 2025
ADOPTION FEE: $200
NOTES:
Pignut arrived to Hamilton Animal Services as a sickly stray. The shelter put him on medication and fluids, and thankfully his health improved. No owner came forward to claim Pignut, and we were happy to take in this adorable kitten when a foster home stepped up.
Pignut is the sweetest cat! A few weeks after his rescue, we had Pignut neutered and he did great for surgery. Now that he’s healed, Pignut is ready for his forever home!

Here’s a note from Pignut’s foster family:
“Pignut (or Piggy) has been keeping us entertained for the last little bit. He was found as a stray and brought into Hamilton Animal Services. They took really good care of him until Ladybird was able to get him into foster care.
Pignut is a healthy 6 (ish) month old ball of fluff- he has his moments of zoomies and loves all things that roll around and have bells. He plays hard and snuggles hard. Your lap is the perfect Pignut size for a good snuggle. Pignut is also obsessed with food. He will probably grow out of this, but be aware that unsupervised plates and dog bowls are fair game.
Pignut hangs out with the resident dog and is fairly confident around him – no hard cuddles, but Pignut does like to clean the dog’s ears and they will share laps and couch space. He hasn’t been around another cat, but with Pignut’s mild temperament and a proper introduction, we think he would do fine. Another animal in the house would be ideal to have someone to share his energy with.
Adopt Pignut and never eat alone again!”

Please adopt Pignut!
Visit our website to apply: ladybirdanimalsanctuary.com
