Piggly Wiggly's Story

Piggly Wiggly has come a very long way from the community cat who spent her entire life surviving outside. These days, our senior girl has discovered that the finer things in life are actually pretty wonderful, especially a cozy place to hide when shes feeling unsure, a full bowl of food, and as many pets as youre willing to give her. Piggly doesnt ask for much, but if you sit down on the floor and meet her on her level, dont be surprised when she comes running over for attention. She has become quite the purr monster and absolutely loves being petted and brushed, though she has no problem politely reminding you with a gentle swat when shes decided spa time is over. Shes even gotten playful as shes grown more comfortable in her foster home, and watching her become braver and more confident has been such a special transformation. Piggly isnt exactly a lap cat, but she is very much a lap-adjacent cat, perfectly content to enjoy your company without needing to be right on top of you. After spending so many years relying only on herself, we think that makes the trust she gives her people even more meaningful. Piggly would likely be happiest as your one and only, although she may be able to live with another calm, independent cat who is happy to give her plenty of personal space. As a senior lady, Piggly does have kidney disease and will need to remain on a prescription kidney diet, which she thankfully eats like a champ when it comes to her dry food. She occasionally humors us with the kidney-friendly wet food too, although she has made her opinions about the tastier alternatives quite clear. Piggly Wiggly spent most of her life making do with whatever the outside world gave her. Now she knows what it feels like to be safe, comfortable and loved, and she is ready for a family who will let her spend the rest of her years enjoying every bit of it.

—

Submit an Adoption Application to be considered:
https://www.tailshigh.org/home/adoption-application/

Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved.
