Pigeon's Story

Meet Pigeon! Pigeon came to us with a badly broken pelvis, probably caused by being hit by a car. Despite all the pain he was in when he first met us, he was a sweet and tolerant boy. He loves having his ears and chin rubbed, and enjoys playing with little toys in his kennel. He loves his head scratched and likes his back scratched, too. He also looooves being brushed. He likes to come snuggle with us on our cleaning shifts, and enjoys lounging on the cat trees. He can be snippy, though - Pigeon is very particular about what he wants, and he is quick to nip or swat when things aren’t going his way. He will need a home that can be patient with him and love him within his boundaries.

Pigeon recovered 90% of the way from his broken pelvis, but it did impact his colon. He needs 1/4 of a teaspoon of Miralax every day to make sure things keep moving. Thankfully, he will eat it if we mix it into wet food, so it's not difficult to make sure he is medicated. He also has FIV, which can impact his immune system. Cats with FIV can live happy, healthy lives if kept entirely indoors, but it is contagious to other cats.

Pigeon would prefer to be the only pet. Because of his persnickety nature, we would not recommend him for a home with children.

Pigeon is estimated to be about 7 years old as of December 2025. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, his adoption fee is $10.60.

If you are interested in adopting this particular cat or kitten, please see our Adoption Guidelines at http://www.humanesocietyall.com/applications/ .
