Pierre's Story

Bonjour, I’m Pierre 🇫🇷

I am a shy little monsieur who prefers the quiet life. You’ll usually find me tucked neatly under the furniture instead of stretched out on top of it. I like my cozy hiding spots — they make me feel safe while I take in the world at my own pace.

I do need a little gentle encouragement to come out, but I’m getting braver every day now that I’ve had time to know my people. Patience and kindness? Très important.

Now, here is my secret: once you scoop me up, I melt like butter on a warm croissant. I purr and purr and purr without stopping. I even roll onto my back and offer my belly — which is basically the highest honour I can give. Beneath my shy exterior, I am simply a boy who wants amour and affection.

I can be a bit particular about my cuisine. We are still discovering my favourite dishes, but when it comes to treats? Magnifique. I approve of them all.

I haven’t officially met the other cats and dogs yet, only exchanged polite introductions through a carrier and under the door — very civilized. With slow, respectful meetings, I believe I could say “enchanté” properly one day.

Loud noises are not my preference at the moment. I am a sensitive soul. Therefore, to start off, I will need a home with a quiet room where I can build my confidence and learn to trust. Once I feel secure, I think I could flourish beautifully, and take over the whole house!

So if you have patience, a gentle heart, and room for a shy little French gentleman to blossom… I am waiting.

Avec amour,
Pierre 🐾

Born: Feb 15th, 2024
Gender: Male
Type: DSH
Adoption Fee: $100

If you are interested in meeting Pierre, applications can be found here:

http://mgpr.weebly.com/cat-adoption-application.html

Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue's Adoption Policy
The adoption process starts with an application form to find out more information about your family to ensure the best fit for the dog. Applications can be found at http://mgpr.weebly.com/ Second step is to have reference checks and vet checks. We want to ensure all dogs go to responsible loving homes. Thirdly, is the meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting. We encourage all members of your family to be in attendance at this visit as the dog will be an integral part of all of their lives. The final step of the adoption process is a home visit from one of our team members. The home visit allows us to see the environment in which the dog will be living as well as to offer any tips and advice to making your home dog friendly. Then your new family member will come home to shower your family with unconditional love.
