Piccolo's Story

Piccolo is a sweet, senior gentleman who has been given a second chance at life.

It's hard to believe, but this sweet boy spent the majority of his life living outdoors. He belonged to a colony of feral cats but despite his gentle nature would often get bullied by the group. Lucky for him, this spring some kind neighbors took notice of his gentle nature and together we brought him inside for good.

Since then, Piccolo has been on a journey of discovery: learning that people can be kind, laps can be cozy, and treats are absolutely worth climbing into your human's lap for. Piccolo loves to hang out in the same room as his people, loves to play with toys, and will do just about anything for a treat. He likes to be gently pet while eating treats and is even learning to love them when a bribe isn't involved.

While he's still shy when meeting new people, it's not hard to win Piccolo's trust - just time, patience and snacks. He'll reward your efforts with his sweetness and hilarity - impressing you with his playful moves, chubby belly, and almost constant blep.

Piccolo would make a great companion for another friendly cat. He’s a soft soul: gentle, mild-mannered, and non-confrontational. If you've been looking for a friend for your middle-age cat, there is no more perfect candidate than him!

This little man has already come so far, and we know he’ll keep blooming in a loving forever home. If you love seeing a shy cat learn to trust and flourish - Piccolo will reward your patience a hundredfold with his quiet company and love.

Piccolo is estimated to be about 10 years old, is up to date on vaccines, is FeLV negative and has a clean bill of health. Piccolo is positive for FIV, but is asymptomatic. No special care is needed, he just needs the same routine annual vet visits that all cats should receive. He can safely cohabitate with FIV- cats, so long as no aggressive fighting occurs. What's more, FIV passes through deep bite wounds and Piccolo is almost entirely toothless. Little bud only has a single tooth left, which is why he has an adorable blep in almost every picture!

-----
Interested in meeting Piccolo?
