Phyllis (Almost 2)'s Story
Phyllis is coming to the Gig Harbor Petco 3/14 and 3/15! A FaceTime beforehand is recommended to be pre-approved and have first adoption priority. Phyllis's adoption fee is $175.

Phyllis is the kind of cat who makes you feel chosen. She’s not going to throw herself into your lap the moment you sit down — she’s more thoughtful than that. Phyllis shows her love on her own terms: a slow approach, a head rub against your leg, melting into chin scratches when she’s ready. And when she trusts you, there’s nothing quite like it.

This gorgeous calico girl is an independent spirit who loves watching birds from a sunny window, batting her favorite toys around (especially a simple piece of yarn — she’s old-fashioned like that), and kneading her beloved cat bed every evening. She has a playful streak that comes alive around sunset — that’s when you’ll see her flinging her carrot toy in the air and pouncing like a kitten.

Phyllis does best as the only pet in a calm, quiet home where she can be the center of your world without competition. She’s a cat who values her space and her routines, and she’ll reward a patient, understanding adopter with genuine affection and a whole lot of personality.

What Phyllis is looking for:

A calm, quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace

A patient person who appreciates a cat that shows love in her own way

A window with a view — she’s a dedicated birdwatcher

To be the only pet in the household

Someone who doesn’t mind that 5pm is party time

Phyllis is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has had a recent dental cleaning and tooth extraction. She is currently on a daily medication that helps her feel her best, and her vet records will be provided to her new family.

If you’re looking for a cat who will sit beside you (not on you), greet you with a gentle rub, and make your home feel complete with her quiet, loving presence — Phyllis is waiting for you.

To coordinate a meet and greet, please fill out the adoption application.

**Copy and paste the below link into your browser.

https://forms.gle/mxoY3tnrvzHucTMr9

Filling out the application doesn't mean you're obligated or guaranteed to adopt a cat.

"I do not own a cat" is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to saving animals. We will get back to you as soon as we are able to.

Thank you!
