Phoenix's Story

Phoenix is the sweetest boy ever. He is approx. 4-5 years old and a very lucky boy. He was rescued from outdoors by a wonderful woman who saw he needed help. Poor Phoenix looked bedraggled – both his ears were badly injured from other cats attacking him – he is a docile sweet boy, not a fighter. He was put on oral antibiotics and ointment to treat his wounds and he has healed beautifully.

Phoenix loves to be petted (and purrs loudly), cuddled, told how handsome he is, and is enjoying being safely indoors. Phoenix really enjoys rolling around with catnip toys, batting at a feather on a wand, and sitting on the cat tree (or anywhere) watching the birds and squirrels out the windows. He is a happy big boy who loves being with his foster and following her around the house. Phoenix likes using the cardboard scratcher on the floor, and he will hold a conversation with you. He is a great lap cat and loves sleeping with his foster.

Phoenix tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). Many cats can live long healthy lives with FIV if kept indoors, fed a healthy diet, and in a low stressful home. Phoenix is looking for a kind adopter who wants a loving and sweet cat. It would be best if you didn’t have any other pets or small children so his home is stress-free.

Phoenix is neutered, FIV positive, FeLV and heartworm negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $175. Call 651-771-5662 if you have a big heart and want to give Phoenix the Second Chance he deserves.
