Phoenix's Story

Phoenix
Est DOB 11/21
Adoption fee $225

This stunningly, handsome young boy was found abandoned in midtown Sacramento condo complex, where he was being fed along with another community cat in someone’s backyard.

When he first showed up on the patio, he was dirty and very thin. The owners of the condo continued to feed him but were in the process of moving. One of our amazing Lapcats fosters heard about him and agreed to foster him so he’d be safe and secured especially since he is deaf!

Phoenix is friendly with people and gets along with the other foster cats. As you can see, he has taken the daddy role to Macy but Phoenix seems like he would thrive on his own or in a home with another gentle cat.

Since he is deaf, he has unusual voice. Not a mean bone in his body. He likes to look out the windows but has no desire to go outside.

What Phoenix Needs:
• A Quiet, Safe Home: As a deaf cat, Phoenix needs a calm environment where he won’t be startled by sudden movements or vibrations.
• Companionship: He’s happiest with other cats.
• Understanding and Patience: While Phoenix can’t hear your voice, he connects deeply through touch, sight, and routine. He thrives with a family who understands his special needs.

The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org.

All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped.

We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!
