Phoebe's Story

Phoebe
Est. DOB 4/2024
Adoption fee: $225

Phoebe is a cutie-patootie with quite the background story! She was found at a few days old inside an old wet mattress of a backyard with her deceased siblings scattered around her. In the fall, Phoebe developed ocular FIP which luckily was able to be treated with 84 days of medication and now she is thriving!

Phoebe is an odd-ball of a cat! She is very active, always wanting to explore and check new things out. She is social and always nearby, but is more of an independent cat rather than cuddly. She enjoys pets and scratches on her cat tree, but her favorite is just to be played with! She loves all sorts of toys—ball tracks, feather wands, string toys, etc. Watching birds through the window is probably her favorite activity and she’ll oftentimes rub up against the windows as a greeting when she sees you coming to greet her.

Phoebe loves other cats, as well as games of chase and wrestle—she adores her brother Pelican and he’s always up for her games or snuggling together at night.

Phoebe would do best in a home with adults and older children, she has been exposed to large dogs through a fence but has not lived directly with them.

The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org.

All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped.

We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag! We do not do out of state adoptions for the safety of our cats.
