Phantom's Story
Meet Phantom 🖤🤍

Phantom is a 5½-year-old tuxedo boy with an incredible story of survival and resilience. He wandered up to one of our foster homes in desperate need of help, with a large open wound and severe dental disease from years of living outside with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. We don’t know how long he was struggling on his own, but we do know he found exactly the right door.

Now healed and feeling so much better after extensive dental care, Phantom has blossomed into a happy, social, affectionate cat who loves people. He truly seems grateful for the comfort and care he’s finally found.

Because Phantom is FIV+, he would do best as an only cat soaking up all the attention or in a home with other FIV+ cats. Cats with FIV can still live long, happy lives with good care, and Phantom is proof of that. Because he was uncared for for so long, he has some chronic rhinitis that is due to chronic inflammation and is something he will likely always have. It is not contagious and it is managed well with 1 puff of inhaled steroid twice daily. Our good boy tolerates this perfectly. He knows foster Mom is here to help him.

This sweet survivor is ready to leave his hard past behind and spend the rest of his life safe, loved, and spoiled the way he deserves. 💕

If you are interested in meeting Phantom, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Cat and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com.
