Phantom's Story
Meet Phantom. She lurks in the shadows and is mysterious... mysteriously cute! Our sweet Phantom girl has returned to the shelter for the hopes of finding her forever home. Phantom is a bit of a scaredy cat who is looking for a quiet home. She has lived with children before and politely says no thank you. She prefers an adult only home. She may hiss when you first encounter her, but she doesn't mean anything by it. She's just letting you know she's nervous and to go at her pace. Phantom may be scared dogs but she does do excellent with other cats. Once she settles in she loves to play with laser pointers and scratching posts. Because she's scared of pretty much everything until she settles into her home, we recommend a variety of cat trees and hidey huts for her to be comfortable in. Phantom enjoys cheek scratches and attention on her terms. Phantom will need a slow introduction to her new home to ensure she is safe and adjusting well. She will go home with her prescription fluoxetine for her anxiety. We recommend she stays on this medication for life. We've fallen in love with Phantom and think you will too, so stop by the shelter today to say hello.
