Petyr's Story

Meet Petyr!

If you're looking for a gentle soul with the sweetest little face, Petyr might just be your perfect match.

At around 5-6 months old, this adorable tuxedo kitten is equal parts playful and precious. He loves chasing toys, wrestling with his kitty friends, and exploring the world around him. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for his curiosity and eagerness for pets to win. Once he realizes you're kind, he will happily accept treats, pets, and all the love you have to offer.

Petyr's journey hasn't been an easy one. He came to us when he was only about three months old after being time-stamped for euthanasia at the city shelter because he had panleukopenia and wasnt expected to survive. But Petyr had other plans. He fought through one of the toughest illnesses a kitten can face, and today he's healthy, thriving, and ready to find the forever family he so deserves.

He has a wonderfully submissive personality and gets along beautifully with other friendly cats. He's the kind of kitten who would much rather make friends than start trouble, making him an easy addition to a home with other welcoming feline companions.

Petyr is FIV positive, but dont let that scare you away! FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is one of the most misunderstood diagnoses in the cat world. It is not spread by sharing food or water bowls, grooming each other, cuddling, or playing. It is transmitted almost exclusively through deep, serious bite wounds—the kind that occur during intense fights between aggressive cats. Because Petyr is such a gentle, submissive, cat - friendly boy, he poses virtually no risk to other friendly cats and can safely live with FIV - negative feline companions.

The reality is that FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives with routine veterinary care and lots of love. They deserve the same chance as every other cat — they just need someone willing to look past three little letters.

Petyr has already beaten the odds once. He survived panleukopenia when many thought he wouldn't. Now all he needs is someone to believe in him one more time and give him the forever home he's been waiting for.

Could that someone be you?

Don't miss your chance to bring this love-bug home.
