Petyr's Story

Petyr (FELV Positive): THE BEST CAT YOU CAN EVER ADOPT

Backstory:
When Petyr first came to us he tested negative on all his tests and he and his brother (Stu) were fostered with another cat (Pumpkin), at the time of his neuter he tested positive for FIV. Upon taking him to the vet they ran more tests and discovered he has FELV. Since the other cats were already exposed the vet recommended keeping him and his foster buddies together to keep Petyr from being isolated socially. Petyr may have a shortened life span but his Foster Mom reports he is a loving, cuddly and very active kitty who needs a home where someone is around regularly.

Personality:
Petyr is very social, wants to be involved in everything all the time. He loves attention and becomes a boneless sack when being man handled and often gets into such a state of bliss when being pet that he he loses all his bones and accidentally rolls of you. Simply making eye contact with Petyr initiates snuggles. He loves to test gravity (knocks things off counters). Everything is a toy to him. and adores playing with the laser pointer. He would need to be in a single cat or other FELV cat home and would be great with children. Dont let his diagnosis scare you away from the best decision of your life.
