Petunia's Story

Meet Petunia! Sweet little Petunia is a beautiful 4-month-old gray and white kitten who is looking for someone special to show her that the world can be a safe and loving place. Petunia came from a bad situation, and because of her past, she can be a little shy and unsure at first. She may need some time to feel comfortable and learn to trust her new people—but once she does, she’ll have so much love to give. Sonya's Hope for Felines's Adoption Policy

The potential adopter reaches out to me with interest in a particular cat or kitten. They complete an application. Their vet is called to make sure they are responsible pet owners. Personal reference is also called. Application is reviewed to make sure that the person is responsible, financially, emotionally, and physically. The landlord is contacted if applicable. A meet and greet is scheduled if all checks out. A home visit with the potential adopter takes place to verify that the home is safe (virtual option may be available). Application fee is paid, contract is signed, and cat/kitten is delivered to his/her new home.
